Growth isn't an accident — it's a practice. Acorn 2 Oaks was founded on a simple conviction: with the right conditions, honest feedback, and a clear view of your strengths, anyone can grow into something far larger than where they started.
Whether you're an individual navigating a career inflection point or at the "top of your game," the work is the same — name what's true, build on what's strong, and forge forward deliberately.
"You don't rise to the level of your ambition. You grow to the depth of your roots."
— The Acorn 2 Oaks approach to coaching & community
Founder of Acorn 2 Oaks. Sam's path ran from humble New Jersey roots to product and finance leadership at major institutions — the journey behind Forge Through 40. Today he coaches professionals through their own inflection points and is gathering a community of people applying their strengths to their vocations, drawing on the same frameworks he used to build his own life deliberately.

Your best life starts here — manage it like a product manager. It begins with a child's drawing left on a kitchen table: his daughter's very first product, priceless — and accidentally thrown away. From that fleeting moment grows the conviction at the heart of this book: our lives are products we create.
In this inspiring and unexpectedly fun memoir, Sam Cho traces the arc from his humble New Jersey beginnings to senior product leadership in major financial institutions — with heartfelt storytelling, honest reflection, and just the right amount of playful sarcasm. Written first as a legacy for his two children, Eliana and Ethan, and offered to every reader navigating their own becoming, it treats a life the way a great product manager treats a product: as an idea worth iterating on, relentlessly and with love.
You are the idea. You are the iteration. You are the legacy. And every chapter closes with coaching points and a retrospective, so the lessons don't stay on the page — they become your next version.
The first edition was the MVP — by design. The next iteration goes beyond it: new chapters, deeper retrospectives, and the wisdom of a family that's grown. Leave your email and be among the first to hold it.

"An uplifting, relatable, and motivating read that reminds us it's never too early, or too late, to redefine ourselves and lead with purpose."
Most development plans obsess over weaknesses. Strengths-based coaching flips that: we use your CliftonStrengths results to name your natural talents, then build deliberate practices that turn them into a durable edge — in your role, your team, and your next chapter.
Name what's strongest in you. One focused session to put precise language to what you've always done naturally — we unpack your CliftonStrengths profile and name the talents you've been using all along, so you can stop treating your edge like an accident.
Invest in them, deliberately. Talent only becomes strength through practice. A multi-month coaching arc for professionals at an inflection point — promotion, pivot, or plateau — that turns your natural patterns into the engine of your next chapter.
Every series begins with a free 30-minute intro call — a chance to get to know each other, shape your goals, and make sure the series is the right fit, for both of us.
I take on only a few clients at a time, so each engagement gets my full attention — typically a dedicated partnership of 4–12+ months.
Multiply them, together. Teams that know each other's strengths trust each other faster. A shared strengths vocabulary for your whole team — mapping complementary talents, easing friction, and turning your differences into the reason the team works.
Acorn 2 Oaks is gathering a community of like-minded people applying their strengths toward their vocations — figuring out what their talents are for, and putting them to work. If you're exploring product management as a craft or a calling, you'll be in especially good company.
Conversations and prompts for turning your CliftonStrengths results into weekly practice — not a report that sits in a drawer.
Honest accounts from people mid-journey — finding the overlap between what they're great at, what they love, and what the world needs from them.
For members curious about PM as a path — career questions answered in the open, and frameworks like the Single Diamond explored together.
Where oaks grow together. Essays and field notes on strengths, vocation, and product — plus first word on community conversations, coaching openings, and the 2nd edition of Forge Through 40.
Come as you are — newly planted or well-rooted. This is a place for the bigger question: not just what you're good at, but what it's for. Bring your strengths and grow them in good company.
